
Dr. Remi Ayoko
Specialising in diversity management, conflict management, leadership development and human resources management, Dr. Remi Ayoko is a business educator and consultant and has been lecturing at the University of Queensland since 2000. Prior to this, Remi has had an extensive teaching experience in tertiary institutions across three nations. Remi’s successful teaching, research and consulting career combined with her training, and international experience gives Remi an ability to speak authoritatively on issues related to diversity, conflict and leadership across organisational levels.
Remi’s current research projects include:
- Diversity in organisations and teams
- Organisational and team outcomes: trust, innovation and performance
- Workplace conflict
- Emotions
- Leadership
- Strategic human resource management
- Physical workspaces (e.g. open-plan offices) and their impact on employees’ productivity.
Remi’s cutting edge research outcomes have been published in reputable international journals and conferences.

She has also several distinctions and awards including:

Remi’s consulting experience includes facilitating workshops on:
- effective team leadership and team management skills for increased performance and innovation at the Engineering and Technology Division of Department of Transport and Main Roads (2012)
- conflict management for CSIRO (Geelong)
- application of Balanced Scorecard and Community Health Delivery with Queensland Health
- diversity management with the local Government.
Qualifications
Remi holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education (B A. Ed) and a Masters of Education in English as Second Language.In addition, she completed her MBA degree and PhD (Business Management) at the University of Queensland.
In her busy life, she enjoys community work, her three children and a great partnership with her husband.
